I am Karen Cherrington and am a fully qualified counsellor offering a professional and confidential service. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. My qualifications include both a psychology degree and a diploma in counselling.

My experience includes several years working with Samaritans where I helped people with a great range of issues. I have worked with young people  in The What? Centre in Stourbridge. This was counselling work done mainly with teens. I have also worked with victims of crime via Victim Support on a voluntary basis.

I continue to work via the NHS and in private practise.

I primarily work in a person centred way although I do integrate other techniques such as transactional analysis, psychodynamic, CBT and solution focused brief therapy. I am currently working towards BACP accreditation.

Fees vary depending on circumstances between £25 and £40 for counselling offered to individuals.
